Why do we need another nutrition blogger?

People are getting sketchy nutrition & wellness information and I can’t just let it go – I have to do something about it!

Hey everyone on the internet! I’m Kylie, a Registered & Licensed Dietitian from Alabama and I am FED UP. I have seen some VERY questionable science floated about during these past 3 years (hello pandemic) and now I am realizing that the sketchy information is not only limited to pharmaceutical topics…

There’s been some meddling with our nutrition advice too! Now that I am aware of this meddling in my area of expertise, I simply cannot sit by and let them influence our decisions and push false claims to sell products.

Now that my eyes are open, I am seeing conflicts of interest EVERYWHERE. Food & pharmaceutical corporations have influence over: laws and regulations, recommendations from the national nutrition group, the research used to make food guidelines, and more.

This corporate influence over our food system creates a huge problem – how can the average person make truly healthy decisions, if all the information coming to them is manipulated by Big Food? It undermines the integrity of the entire system.

Fear not, friends. I am so mad about this deception that it’s pushing me to create a solution: welcome to Salud Wellness!

Salud Wellness is a no-nonsense place to get legitimate nutrition, health, fitness and overall wellness information. We don’t tow the party line. We just look at the data that is available and explain the findings in a way that makes sense.
